New Federal Filing Due Dates for 2016

New legislation changed the due dates for many common tax returns. The act sets new due dates for partnership and C corporation returns, as well as FinCEN Form 114, Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR), and several other IRS information returns.

The new due dates will apply to returns for tax years beginning after Dec. 31, 2015.

March 15, 2017
Form 1065 - Partnership returns (formerly due April 15)
Form 1120S - S corporation returns (same due date)

April 15, 2017
Form 1120 - C corporation returns (formerly due March 15)
FinCEN Form 114 - Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (formerly due June 30)

September 15, 2017
All calendar year 2015 business returns due

October 15, 2017
Final deadline to file your 2016 personal tax return if you filed an extension on or before April 15
